2. Gathering Project Details

To begin designing your project, we ask you to provide:

  • Approximate dimensions of your space.

  • Photos of the existing space.

  • Inspiration photos or examples of your preferred design.

  • Your approximate budget.

  • The project address.

  • Your preferred timeline.

This information helps us understand your needs and prepare an initial design and preliminary estimate.

3. Design and Preliminary Estimate

Based on the information you provide, we develop an initial design and prepare a preliminary estimate. These outline the proposed layout and expected cost of your project and serve as a starting point for further discussion and adjustments.

4. Design Review and Adjustments

We review the proposed design and preliminary estimate with you, discuss your feedback, and make any necessary adjustments. Together, we refine the layout, materials, finishes, and other details to suit your needs and budget.

5. Deposit Payment

Once the initial design and preliminary estimate have been agreed upon, a 50% deposit is required to move forward. After receiving your deposit, we schedule an on-site visit to take precise measurements.

For most projects, the remaining 50% is due after installation. For orders that include natural stone countertops, 40% is due following countertop measurements and your approval, with the final 10% due after installation.

6. On-Site Measurements

After receiving your deposit, our team visits your property to take precise measurements and assess the installation space. These measurements allow us to verify the proposed layout and identify any adjustments needed before final approval.

7. Final Project Approval

Following the on-site measurements, we make any necessary adjustments to the design and review the final project details with you. Your approval is required before the project moves into production.

8. Production Begins

Once you approve the final design and project details, we begin manufacturing your custom cabinetry. No changes can be made to the project once production has begun.

9. Delivery and Installation Scheduling

We coordinate delivery and installation dates with you for your cabinetry and any countertops ordered through Smoky Lake Cabinets.

10. Installation

Our team installs your custom cabinetry and any countertops included in your order according to the agreed schedule. Installation time depends on the size and complexity of your project; a typical kitchen installation usually takes one working day.

11. Final Payment

Once installation is complete, the remaining balance is due according to your agreed payment terms: 50% of the total order value for most projects, or 10% for orders that include natural stone countertops.
